Click the Watch on YouTube link to for an excellent tutorial. I'm will need to go in a more biophilic direction after the Floe series. This may be part of it.
This piece is for everyone who is feeling girly.
It's a piece of pop art from a modified well-known fashion doll logo. Warhol grew up with soup; my childhood was full of Fashion Doll. Fashion Doll was an avatar of my dreams of teenage romance, high status, and glamor. I got over it, but I welcome you to put GenderPop on whenever you're feeling fabulous. I made this piece to enter for Inspired by Warhol show at the Elmhurst Artists' Guild's Summer 2023. There is a chance it might not be accepted. This design is more family friendly than my original idea and I give it better odds. @thereforeijam Jan 4, 2011

Last night was the reception for "Beneath the Surface" at TLD Design Center in Westmont, IL. I had the chance to meet and chat with Joann Murdock and Mary Dillon and the Design Center's director, Tammy Deck. The show continues through April 1. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 to 6 pm.
TLD Design Center offers classes and work space for fiber artists and other artisans. They even offer metal smithing, which I will enroll my youngest in next Fall. Come one come all! TLD Design Center is an incubator of fine craft and fiber arts. I wish I lived closer and could hang out there. I have three wall pieces on display with a few other artists. I'm looking forward to seeing the show. Opening: March 1st 6pm to 9pm Showing through April 1st TLD DESIGN CENTER & GALLERY 26 E Quincy St Westmont, IL HTTPS://www.tlddesigns.com Open to the public Wed through Sat 11am to 6pm each day no appointment needed / no entry fee / free curbside parking I started a new glacier mosaic on 36 x 36 convex mirror.
